Self-portrait (2014)

EN
Martin Heuser works mainly with videos and video-installations with the occasional use of text and painting. His ideas are frequently permeated with a negative view of human beings and their organizations, resulting in works that often resemble human behaviour experiments. In his works, repetition is confronted with obscenity and vulgarity, as well as the language of the mass media, constantly discussing and imposing subtle forms of violence.

He holds a master's degree in Fine Arts from Valand School of Fine Arts, Gothenburg University, Sweden (2009), and a bachelor's degree in music composition from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre - Brazil (2004).
