Martin Heuser was born in Brazil in 1979. He studied
musical composition from 1998 to 2004 at the State University of Rio
Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre. Many of his compositions were performed in
public concerts in Brazil, including the XV Biennial of Brazilian
Contemporary Music, in November of 2003, in Rio de Janeiro, when his
Trio for clarinet, cello and piano was performed.
Two of his pieces, Desvendando a Luz and Three
Pieces for the Recorder and Piano, were recorded on CDs in Brazil.
Martin took part in an improvisation project as a pianist with Edward
Ka-Spel and Alëna Boikova in 2007. The project was released by Beta
Lactam Ring Records in two CDs: Ulkomaalaiset ONE and TWO.
Martin currently lives in Göteborg - Sweden - where he studies at the
masters program C:Art:Media at Valand School of Fine Arts, from 2007 to
2009.
